OCAF is located at 34 School Street in Historic Watkinsville Georgia.

Mission: The Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation, Inc. (OCAF) promotes cultural arts and artists, and provides art education to the citizens of Oconee County and the northeast Georgia area.

OCAF is a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity that is not supported by tax dollars of any kind. All of our programs are open to the public regardless of what county they live in. OCAF members receive valuable discounts on classes, workshops and special events. Although membership is suggested it is not required.

Georgia Small Works 

Opening Reception: Friday, October 7, 6pm to 8pm 
Exhibit: October 8 - November 11, 2016

Georgia Small Works provides a forum for Georgia artists working in small format in both 2-D & 3-D. Artworks include pieces in every medium imaginable, all 14"x14"x14" or smaller. Don't miss this wonderful opportunity to see hundreds of small artworks from all over Georgia together in one place.

Jean Westmacott
Stance: Faces & Figures
Opening Reception: Friday, October 7, 6pm to 8pm
Exhibit: October 8 - November 11, 2016

The focus of this exhibit is the human form on paper and in cast bronze. Westmacott has numerous commissioned  sculptures, including the Athena Statue outside Athens's Classic Center and several large bronzes in Gainesville, GA: for Brenau University, the Northeast Georgia Medical Center & the Beulah Rucker Museum & Community Center.

Time and Space
Opening Reception: Friday, October 7, 6pm to 8pm
Exhibit: October 8 - November 11, 2016  

From cellular biology to cosmic events, moments glimpsed & eons of evolution are shaped into objects of metal and jewelry in this exhibit by Barbara Mann. Mann has an extensive exhibition record with works in many collections including the Georgia Museum of Art & the Mint Museum.

Wood Works: A Regional Exhibition

The Southeast is home to some of the finest wood artists and craftsmen in the country.  OCAF is mounting a significant show featuring the works of over 35 of the region’s most talented woodworkers.  Furniture makers, wood turners, and fine artists will be displaying one-of-a-kind pieces made from exotic woods and veneers, reclaimed lumber, natural edge slabs, and even twigs and bark. 3 levels available:
  • Beginner: designed for teaching the basics of playing the bagpipes
  • Intermediate A: for students that have completed the Beginning Class or able to read music and are working on embellishments and basic tunes on the practice chanter.
  • Intermediate B: for students that have completed the Beginning Class and Intermediate Class A or have required skills and are ready to play the bagpipes.
