OCAF Thrift Sale Needs You! Come join our team of fabulous volunteers as they prepare for our annual Thrift Sale. You will be helping with one of OCAF's most important fundraisers, and one of our most labor intensive, while enjoying the fun and camaraderie that comes with working together on a worthy project.
Each year our wonderful volunteers log countless hours receiving, sorting, organizing, and pricing items in preparation for the sale not to mention all the hours spent during the 2 days of the sale.
This year's Thrift Sale is scheduled for March 18th & 19th. Volunteers have been hard at work since early January and still have several weeks of work to go before the opening of the sale. Lots of help is still needed and there is no need to call ahead to volunteer for pre-sale work. Simply check your calendars and join us on any of the Drop-off days listed above.
In addition to the volunteers for pre-sale work, volunteers are also needed for the actual event on Friday evening (3/18) and on Saturday (3/19). The dates, times, and tasks for which volunteers for the event are needed will be posted on VolunteerSpot once they are finalized. If you are interested in helping prior to the posting please call or email our office.
The VolunteerSpot calender will also includes a request for donations of Appetizers, Deserts, and Beverages for the Friday evening Pre-view Sale.To sign-up for volunteer opportunities &/or donate food/beverages please watch for the VolunteerSpot button which will link you to our online sign-up calendar.
The U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires donors to value their items that you will claim on your taxes. To help guide you, The Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation has compiled a list providing price ranges for items commonly sold at the OCAF Thrift Sale. Assume the following items are in good condition, and remember: prices are only estimated values. Please click here to view and print the valuation guide.
