Workshop Title: Fun with Papermaking - Basic Workshop

Material Kit Fee: $10

Material Description: Registration requires that you purchase a Quick-Pulp Papermaking Kit for this course. The kit is yours to keep and includes an 8" X 10" mold and screen, an 8" X 10" deckle, an 8" round deckle, 8 couch sheets, a  9" X 11" paper press and many other papermaking essentials. Workshop Description: In this workshop you will learn how to use your Quick-Pulp Papermaking Kit (QPK) for many fun and useful projects. You will learn how to make pulp from a variety of paper sources. You will learn how to pull sheets of paper using the molds and deckles in your kit. You will learn how to customize your paper with color and botanical amendments. You will learn how to finish and dry your paper using the paper press that is included in your kit. And more!

Workshop Description: In this workshop you will learn how to create many additional paper items with the Quick-Pulp Papermaking Kit (QPK). You will learn how to watermark your paper, how to emboss your paper, how to add 3D elements, how to do paper casting and paper vacu-forming. You will learn how to make your own envelopes, business cards and other shaped-paper items using templates. And more!

Workshop Description: In this workshop you will learn how to make fun and useful projects using a papermaking kit. We will provide the kit for use during the workshop and then you can buy it for $10 to take home if you like it. You will learn how to make pulp from a variety of paper sources like junk mail and newspapers. You will learn how to pull and pour sheets of paper using the molds and deckles in the kit. You will learn how to customize your paper with color and shaped deckles. You will learn how to finish and dry your paper using a paper press and in other ways. And more! We will teach you how to make lots of paper projects at home.

Material Description:  There is no material fee but you are encouraged to bring a few pieces of junk mail and a couple of newspapers to use for pulp making.

Workshop Title: Casting  Paper Pulp

Total class time: 7.5 hours with 30 minute lunch break

Material Description: All supplies other than those mentioned in the class description will be provided, including beaten cotton linter pulp, sizing, pigments.

Class/Workshop Description:

This workshop will cover methods of casting paper pulp and manipulating damp paper sheets to create relief and 3-d objects.   Please bring a flat surface such as a cookie sheet  so you can take your pieces home to dry. A plastic apron and waterproof shoes will help you stay dry. A sponge is helpful. If you have found objects or molds you would like to use for casting, bring them!
